Bradly Hirdes

AIA, NCARB
Founding Principal

Bradly found his calling one summer while working for an eccentric carpenter who smoked a pipe and listened to NPR on the job site. During this formative time swinging a hammer (and listening to NPR), he began to understand and appreciate how buildings come together, and how the built environment has the opportunity to influence the lives of people and communities in a meaningful way. He was hooked.

Drawn to the way architects and craftspeople could shape the world, Bradly wondered how he could contribute—and whether it could be done differently. Always seeking better ways to do things, he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty and fiercely advocate for his clients and community. His problem solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to design challenges make him a valuable collaborator in creating architecture that works for his clients.

Today as founding principal of OAP he continues to explore these ideas and more, through a relational style of practice built on curiosity, creativity, resilience, empathy and trust.
